The John TenBroeck Memorial Winter Beach Run course was on the beach at low tide. The 5 mile and the 10 mile races started together, then participants in both races ran north and back south, with the 5 milers finishing while the 10 milers ran another course down the shoreline south and back to their finish.

MS 150 Warmup: Sawgrass to St. Augustine

Bicyclists lined Highway A1A from Sawgrass to the Vilano Beach Causeway as they rode either 30 miles or 45 miles in support of the MS150 to be held in October. Cycling teams signed on for the October MS 150 2-day event got a chance to work on teamwork and strategy for finishing the 150 mile trek from St. Augustine to Daytona Beach.

Montoya BFAS Triathlon

The third event in the 2011 Montoya Beaches Fine Arts Series (BFAS) triathlons brought over 500 athletes to Mickler's Landing in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida on July 9, 2011 for a .25 mile ocean swim, 13.5 mile cycle and 3.1 mile run. Save Cross Country 5K

On July 2, 2011, fans of cross country running from across the northeast Florida region traveled to Bartram Trail High School in St. Johns County to raise funds to keep their sport alive at the high school level in Duval County. Sponsored by Doug and Jane Alred of 1st Place Sports, all proceeds from the event will go to the 17 high schools in the Jacksonville area in danger of losing "the sport you don't play," as the slogan read on wrist bands of the competitors. The event raised over five thousand dollars toward the preservation of cross county in Duval County high schools. High school cross country teams represented included Bartram Trail, Creekside, Fleming Island, Lee, White, Sandalwood, Stanton, Baldwin, Nease and Mandarin. Some of the most excited to finish were Micah Drum, 13 (932) Matthew Taylor (749) and Gabriel Moran, 12 (702).
